At Community Partnership of Elbert County (CPEC), we believe that creating a strong, supportive community starts with working together. That's why our Family Connection Collaborative brings together a wide range of local partners to address the challenges facing Elbert County’s children and families. Our collaborative is a vital space where schools, businesses, health and human service agencies, nonprofits, civic clubs, law enforcement, faith-based organizations, and other key community members join forces with families to make a real impact.
What Is the Family Connection Collaborative?
The Family Connection Collaborative is more than just a meeting. It’s a coalition of dedicated individuals and organizations committed to improving the well-being of children and families in Elbert County. By focusing on nurturing parenting, healthy child development, and family-centered solutions, the collaborative develops and implements strategies that address the serious challenges families face. These challenges include poverty, access to healthcare, educational gaps, and more.
At the core of the collaborative’s work is the belief that every child deserves a bright future, and to achieve this, we must build a supportive network that involves every corner of our community.
How Does the Collaborative Work?
The collaborative uses a family-centered approach that places children and their parents at the heart of our efforts. We focus on strengthening families by creating solutions that reflect their needs and by providing resources that empower parents. This approach fosters a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow and thrive.
Our monthly meetings bring together a diverse group of community members who all share a common goal: ensuring the success and well-being of our county’s youngest residents. These meetings provide a space to share ideas, discuss challenges, and develop collaborative strategies to support families.
Key Focus Areas:
Nurturing Parenting: We work to equip parents with the knowledge and tools they need to raise healthy, happy children.
Healthy Child Development: By addressing key developmental milestones and providing access to services, we help children get the best start in life.
Community Collaboration: Our collective impact is far greater than individual efforts. By working together, we can create sustainable solutions to the challenges families face.
